Conference on Continuous Emissions Monitoring System- International Experience

Roundtable on “Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) in India- challenges and way ahead”

A half day meet on “Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) in India- challenges and way ahead” was organized by Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) on 24th February 2016. The meeting had participants from central pollution control board (CPCB), state pollution control boards (SPCBs) and other key stakeholders to discuss the challenges facing the CEMS implementation and suggestions to address these issues.

Workshop on Continuous Emission Monitoring System

A day long workshop on “Continuous Emission Monitoring System” was organized by Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) on 21st July 2015 at CSE, Tughlakabad Institutional Area, New Delhi. This was the first attempt from CSE to understand and identify the issues in the newly introduced CEMS. 

Stakeholder Consultation Workshop in Zanzibar, 29th August, 2016

A six day scoping visit was made in Zanzibar to understand the existing issues and challenges in the island concerning waste and wastewater management, tourism sector, forestry and climate change; and compliance and enforcement. On 29th August, 2016, a half day stakeholder consultation workshop was organized by the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), New Delhi and Zanzibar Environment Management Authority (ZEMA) to discuss the major findings of the scoping visit done by CSE staff and to finalise the major areas of future intervention.

District Mineral Foundation: Implementation and the Road Ahead

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) is organizing a three day (September 15-17) event in Jharkhand to discuss various issues with respect to implementation of District Mineral Foundations (DMF) and the road ahead for DMFs to become successful.

Workshop on Solid Waste Management: Reinvention, Opportunities and Way Ahead, July 12, 2016

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), New Delhi is conducting a day long workshop on Solid Waste Management to discuss the scenario of waste management in the country.
