Regional Sales Manager: Magazines

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), a global environment think tank, is looking for candidates with a minimum of 10 years of selling experience, working with mainstream magazines.

Only candidates who consistently meet and surpass allotted targets, and having excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication & computer skills, need apply.

We are looking for three regional Managers – based in Mumbai/Pune, Chennai/Hyderabad, and Lucknow/Kanpur.  The North based post will be specifically to market our new Hindi magazine, besides the English one.  Salary will not be a constraint and will totally depend upon qualifications, past experience and consistent performance.

Besides the primary responsibility of increasing the magazine subscription base and expanding our coverage to more cities in the region, one has to work closely with newsstand vendors, and design/implement innovative strategies to increase their in-take, quarter after quarter. Holding as well as participating in exhibitions in Schools/Colleges and in other events, to increase sales and visibility, apart from other bulk sales activities specifically from the Government and Private Sectors, will also be required.  The role could be expanded based on the experience of the person.
