Second National Field Exposure Visit at Bengaluru, Mysuru and Delhi


CSE, NFEV at Devanahalli, Bangalore- Faecal Sudge Treatment Plant 

The “National Field Exposure Visit” has recently been conducted on 31st July -04th  August, 2017.

The exposure visit is part of a five stage handholding process for the preparation of CSPs for select Ganga basin cities. 

10 participants from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar state were involved in the Second National Field Exposure Visits. Participants included Katihar elected representatives, Municipal Officials, Ramnagar Nagar Palika Parishad Officials and Chunar Nagar Palika Parishad Officials.  

Three cities- Bangalore, Mysore and Delhi were selected for the exposure visit to showcase BMPs of septage / faecal sludge and solid waste management. Officials got the opportunity to directly interact with implementers / beneficiaries of the implemented projects resulting in city officials receiving hands-on experience on how to plan, design and implement sustainable septage / faecal sludge and solid wast management options.  City officials also understood the techno-economic feasilibility for planning, designing and mplementing BMPs for the same.
