Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) organised a day-long round table on solar energy policy at the Magnolia Hall, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on June 29, 2012.
The round table was divided in two sessions, morning session on off-grid solar and afternoon session on grid connected solar energy sources. The meeting was attended by more than 60 participants from across the country including policy makers from MNRE, implementing agencies, NGOs, private entrepreneurs, state-level implementers, researchers and activists.
CSE released its two draft reports on off-grid solar and grid connected solar power. Both session witnessed keen participation from the audience and a large number of recommendations and observations were made which are currently been compiled.
