South Asian Media Briefing Workshop on Climate Change, 2012

New Delhi, India
November 16-17, 2012
Equity rose like the 'dark knight' at the 17th Conference of Parties (CoP) on climate change in Durban last year. The negotiations continue in Doha this year, where the country heads will try to put back the meandering climate talks on track.

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) organised its annual two-day briefing for South Asian journalists in November, just before the deliberations begin in Doha. The briefing brought to the table the latest in negotiating stances, politics, science and impacts of climate change.

Journalists from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Myanmar and Sri Lanka, interested in evaluating, investigating and interpreting the climate debate, joined us for the workshop.
