BUILDING BETTER: Orientation programme for sustainable building policies and practices

About the orientation programme
The three day programme aims to deepen the understanding of concept of sustainability in building design and construction. There is also a module on existing policies, their potential and constraints in promoting efficient use of resources and minimizing waste in buildings. The programme explores the scope of harmonising eco-friendly and healthy building concepts. The policy-driven and market-driven approaches to accelerate the adoption of resource efficient practices in the building industry. The programme includes field trip to one of the celebrated green building in NCR and a group exercise. Lectures will be given by eminent architects, energy experts and CSE professionals.

Eligibility
This course is open to students and practicing professionals from the field of environment, engineering, architecture & planning.

Course fee
The course fee is Rs. 8,000/- per participant with 50 per cent discount for students, with limited seats.

The fee includes course material, lunch & tea/coffee (doesn't include accommodation). CSE can help arrange accommodation for outstation participants (at cost), on requests reaching no less than 10 days in advance.

How to apply
The course fee should be paid in advance by demand draft/cheque in the name of Centre for science and environment payable at New Delhi. Registration form can be obtained from the contact below and can be posted/faxed to CSE.
