EIA analysis of coal bed methane exploration project
The proposed coal bed methane (CBM) project extend over an area of 634 sq km in the Raigarh and Korba districts. Arrow energy, Australian based company along with consortium partners GAL (India) and Swedish infracture company EIG (Energy infrastructure group) have been awarded to explore methane in the Mand Raigarh Block (MR-CBM-2005/III) at Chattigarh.
EIA analysis of Jindal thermal power plant
Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL) is planning to set up a thermal power plant in village Dongamahua, located in Raigarh district of Chattisgarh. On behalf of the local community there, two activists (from Ekta Parishad and Jan Chetna) requested the Centre for Science and Environment, New Delhi, to technically evaluate the Rapid Environment Impact Assessment done for the project.

Jayaswals Neco Ltd. (JNL) is planning to set up an 1.2 million tonnes per annum (TPA) coal mining project in Raigarh district of Chattisgarh. On behalf of the local community there, two activists (from Ekta Parishad and Jan Chetna) requested the Centre for Science and Environment, New Delhi, to technically evaluate the Rapid Environment Impact Assessment done for the project.
EIA analysis of Jindal Gare coal mine expansion
Expansion of Mine lease in Gare IV/1 is beign proposed by Jindal Steel and Power Limited. Ekta Parishad on behalf of the local communities of Raigarh district of Chattisgarh requested us to technically evaluate the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) document of Gare IV/1 Coal Mine Extension project at Village Nagarmuda, Janjgir, Tapranga, Dongamauha, Dhaurabhanta and Aamgaon in Tehsi; Gharghoda, District Raigarh of Chattisgarh.
EIA analysis of thermal power plant at Raigarh
The M/s Korba West Power Company Limited. is planning to set up a thermal power plant of 600 MW (2 x 300) coal based thermal Power Plant at Village-Bade Bhandar, District-Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. The EIA has been prepared by the Nagpur -based consultant, Anacon Laboratries PvT. Ltd. The study area for the EIA study is 10-km radius.
EIA analysis of VISA Greenfield Integrated Steel Plant
A representative from Ekta Parishad, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) working in the state of Chattisgarh on various social and environmental issues requested us on behalf of the local communities and NGOs of Kashipur Block in Raygada district of Orissa to technically evaluate the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) document of M/s Visa Steel Limited proposing a Greenfield Integrated Steel plant near Kotarlia, Kotmar and Patrapali villages, Raigarh district of Chattisgarh state.
