The Media Resource Centre (MRC) dovetails its efforts with other CSE units to help disseminate information and establish a sustained and interactive contact with the mass media. The objective is to bring into sharp focus environmental and sustainability issues in national and international media and polity.

Indian coasts are doubly vulnerable today. On one hand, they are facing unprecedented pressures from industrial and urban development. On the other, they are threatened by climate change-related devastation. Fishing communities which inhabit these coastal areas are being hit by a similar double-whammy – ironically, from conservation on one hand and development on the other.
