Chandigarh City Dialogue on Air Quality and Transportation Challenge: An Agenda for Action

The collaborative workshop on Air quality and transportation challenge: An agenda for action in Chandigarh was a joint initiative of the Chandigarh administration and the New Delhi based Centre for Science and Environment. The city dialogue, held on May 24, 2013 in J. W. Marriott, Chandigarh was attended by nearly 110 participants.

“Reduced Mobility and limited accessibility have become a major problem for India. The problems are exacerbated by inefficient traffic management and poor driving behaviour, aside from the lack of adequate transport facilities and related infrastructure.

Workshop on Air Quality and Environmentally Sustainable Transport

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) in collaboration with the Air Resource Management Center (AirMAC), Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Transport, Sri Lanka is organising a Workshop on Air Quality and Environmentally Sustainable Transport in Colombo on April 28, 2011. This workshop is part of a series of dialogues that are planned by CSE to strengthen and facilitate inter-regional exchange of ideas on key strategies to combat growing pollution and public health crisis in the region.
