I think the course would be relevant to any organisation, not those just connected with environment. It is important for all of us to gain control of all our resources, to be aware and proud of organizational resources.
This course is informative and useful in terms of skill development as well as performance development of the organisation. Sessions like organizing information, audio visual resources can be used at personal level as well as organizational level.
Training is relevant and useful in this fast moving digital age. The sessions were great and now I have a clear picture of digital resource centre. At organizational level, it is good for gathering, organizing, managing and disseminating quality information to the right person at the right time.

I would term this training programme “Tailor Made and Useful” for every resource centre.

I am satisfied to be part of this workshop, as it sensitized me and took me to the world of digital sources. I can say am INFORMED!!with good and easy, yet sophisticated technology CSE’s workshop faculty introduced me to. “THESAURUS” was a great idea; Megha Prakash; Trainee.

It was the most informative and interesting training I’ve attended. The effort was not to propagate CSE but an honest attempt to share its experiences. You are the most professional and passionate organization.

I am currently in the process of educating myself in Agriculture, low cost input farming & traditional knowledge. So for documenting my travels, my findings, research your course is most handy. Your course was most STIMULATING, INTERESTING, PROFESSIONAL, had the right impact of broadening my knowledge base.
This is a course from which a fresher and even an experienced person can benefit from, because it covers all corners/concepts of information management and dissemination. This is based on experience in this field, which makes the information more credible.
The prime objective of the course was Experience Sharing to enhance Information Management. And frankly, nothing works better than that. CSE’s vast experience, its expertise in the field has provided with adequate “Food for thought” and the necessary guidelines that I sought to establish a documentation centre. The course was a wonderful learning experience for me.

Centre for Science and Environment recognises Social Impact Assessment (SIA) as an important tool to inform decision makers, regulators and stakeholders about the possible social and economic impacts of a development project. To be effective, SIA requires the active involvement of all concerned stakeholders. CSE has developed a five-day training programme aimed at giving practical exposure to participants on SIA with specific reference to infrastructure, mining and other industrial projects.
This interdisciplinary month-long summer certificate course on environment and development issues allows Indian participants to understand and critically evaluate issues that lie at the interface of environment and development- poverty, democracy, equity and justice.
