Workshop on improving Energy efficiency & Environmental Performance of Thermal Power Plants

August 4, 2015: Green Rating Team of the Centre for Science and Environment along with JSW Energy Limited conducted a one-day workshop (July 28, 2015) at Barmer to discuss best practices and key issues in efficiency and environment management practices of coal fired power plants.

Workshop on Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS)

July 25, 2015: A one-day workshop was organized by the Green Rating Team on Tuesday to discuss the technical issues, protocols and methodologies for adoption of CEMS in India. The workshop was attended by stakeholders from NGOs, pollution control board and industry.

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Monday blocked one of the Obama administration’s most ambitious environmental initiatives, an Environmental Protection Agency regulation meant to limit emissions of mercury and other toxic pollutants from coal-fired power plants.
