Orientation Programme on Urban Transportation Reforms for Liveable Cities
The Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) is organising a three-day orientation programme, ’Urban Transportation Reforms for Liveable Cities,’ in New Delhi from June 25 – 27, 2014 for government officials from different cities of India. The objective of this forum is to promote good regulatory practices in air quality and mobility management. Many Indian cities have already begun to develop action plans in response to the national air quality management policies and urban transport policies to achieve clean air and sustainable mobility. These along with the state level transportation and clean air action plans have created the policy opportunity for change. This forum will facilitate interaction with a select group of experts and resource persons to capture the learning in the region as well as demonstrate change through field based case studies.
