Have few minutes for a major mobility concern? - The Parking dilemma - How much to pay and for what?

This questionnaire is meant for a study aimed at preparing a MODERN, organised infrastructure for parking vehicles (cars, two-wheelers, bicycles) and also providing excellent walking and cycling facilities in and around the neighbourhood of Alaknanda Market. This would be done to remove the chaos from the market and make it more walking friendly with an orderly manner of parked cars and two-wheelers. This is important also to ease the flow of heavy traffic through the region on all sides. This questionnaire should not take you more than 10 minutes. We at CSE look forward to your valuable participation in making this research study profound and noteworthy.

CSE has put together and submitted a report to the MoUD on “Urban Rainwater Harvesting: Case studies from different agro-climatic regions” as a part of its deliverable as a  Centre for Comprehensive Capacity Building, under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (CCBP- JnNURM) for Sustainable Water Management.

Sustainable Urban Water Management: Rainwater Harvesting and Decentralised Wastewater Treatment

The increase in urbanisation has led to increase in the fresh water demand along with wastewater generation. The current water crisis is attributed to mismanagement of water resources and emphasis on the energy as well as resource intensive centralised urban water management. Need is, for the practitioners and user communities, to implement sustainable and affordable decentralised water management practices. This short term five day course will focus on – designing rainwater harvesting (RWH) and decentralised wastewater treatment (DWWT) systems including local reuse.
