EIA analysis of a multi project Special Economic Zone

The proposed project is the development of a Multi product special economical zone (MPSEZ) and a Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) proposed by M/s Sri City Pvt. Limited, Mr. Ravi Kanth from Hyderabad based NGO called Prakriti on behalf of the local communities of Andhra Pradesh has requested Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) to technically evaluate the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) document of:

Development of a Multi product special economical zone (MPSEZ) and a Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) in an area of 2185 ha.

EIA analysis of Utkal Alumina refinery project

A representative of Vasundhra, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) working in the state of Orissa on various social and environmental issues, requested us, on behalf of the local communities and NGOs of Kashipur Block in Raygada district of Orissa, to technically evaluate the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) document of:

1. The Utkal Alumina Project, located at Doragurhavillage of Kashipur Block in Rayagada district of Orissa state.

EIA analysis of uranium blocks in Meghalaya

UCIL identified two Uranium blocks named Killung and Rangam in West Khasi hills district of Meghalaya, with total reserves of 9.22 million tones with rated capacity of 0.375 MTPA. The project has acquired 351 ha of land for the establishment of mines, processing plant, DCDA plant (for H₂SO₄ plant), township and other facilities.

EIA analysis of coal mining project by Jindal Steel and Power Limited

Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. is planning to set up an 4 million tonnes per annum (TPA) coal mining project in Raigarh district of Chattisgarh. On behalf of the local community, Ekta Parishad, requested us to technically evaluate the Rapid Environment Impact Assessment done for the project.

EIA analysis of coal bed methane exploration project

The proposed coal bed methane (CBM) project extend over an area of 634 sq km in the Raigarh and Korba districts. Arrow energy, Australian based company along with consortium partners GAL (India) and Swedish infracture company EIG (Energy infrastructure group) have been awarded to explore methane in the Mand Raigarh Block (MR-CBM-2005/III) at Chattigarh.

EIA analysis of Jindal thermal power plant

Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL) is planning to set up a thermal power plant in village Dongamahua, located in Raigarh district of Chattisgarh. On behalf of the local community there, two activists (from Ekta Parishad and Jan Chetna) requested the Centre for Science and Environment, New Delhi, to technically evaluate the Rapid Environment Impact Assessment done for the project.
