Be the change

Agartala is the capital city of one of our eastern most states of India, Tripura. Even with much smaller vehicle numbers the city is witnessing increase in pollution levels and severe congestion. The city is built for walking and cycling and buses. The city must retain its strength and not let cars take over the space.

Chandigarh is one of the most planned towns of India. This is also one of the richest cities witnessing spurt in personal transport. This city needs to scale up its public transport transition.

A small tehsil of Ferozepur district in the state of Punjab in India has set an example. They have freed up space from cars in busy market centre and introduced rickshaw cabs.
