Make bus the game changer, says CSE

It is shocking how bus transport that carries double the number of passengers in Delhi Metro is degenerating when Delhi has to reduce personal vehicle usage to curb pollution and congestion

CSE extends support to the odd-even number formula but expresses disappointment at too many exemptions granted to several vehicle segments

India’s diesel vehicle industry is so powerful that even this exposé of the cover-up of diesel emissions is like water off a duck’s back to them. They should be renamed Teflon Diesel.   • CSE has welcomed Supreme Court (SC) decision to levy an additional charge of Rs 700 on light commercial vehicles and Rs 1,300 on bigger commercial vehicles entering Delhi.  SC will pass this order on Monday.
