Global Water Programme

Work Overview:  

The water programme of Centre for Science and Environment has evolved to help in establishing policy principles, innovative technologies and implementation strategies for water and wastewater management in India. These efforts have been directed towards meeting the twin goals of laying the foundations for a water prudent society and adapting for climate resilience.

GRP Roundtable

CSE's Green Rating Team is conducting a roundtable meeting in Mumbai to discuss its findings and recommendations to improve the thermal power sector’s environment performance. Market and business implications of proposed policy changes, which were suggested by the CSE study, will be discussed in the conference.

Conclave of Champion Cities of Asia and Africa on Clean Air and Sustainable Mobility

Centre for Science and Environment organized a day conference for experience sharing between the developing nations of Asia and Africa on April 9th, 2015 in New Delhi, India in India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

International Seminar on a Global Renewable Energy Support Programme, with Particular Focus on Globally Funded Feed-in Tariffs - 30 March-1 April, 2015

Centre for Science and Environment and What Next seeks to bring together a group of experts from a wide range of backgrounds to further elaborate and develop the idea of a global support programme with a particular focus on globally funded renewable energy feed-in tariffs. 

We are reaching out to people we think would have a lot to contribute to these discussions. It is our intention to create a highly dynamic, participative and creative meeting, where everyone participates as equals and in their personal capacity. 

Seminar on EIA for sustainable development, Ambo University, Ambo, Ethiopia

 The Biology Department of Ambo University conducted a one-day seminar on EIA for Sustainable Development on March 20, 2015 . The programme was supported by Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), New Delhi, India, by providing two of their resource persons for lectures. The programme was attended by over 100 participants.   

Four day training programme on Environmental Impact Assessment in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Ethiopia (16-19 March, 2015)
