Centre for Science and Environment joined hands with Indian Council for Medical Research and Indian Medical Association to organize a dialogue with the noted doctors – (respiratory physicians, cardiologists, pediatricians, oncologists), the air quality regulators, and health experts to track the newer concerns over health risks of polluted air.

Kolkata City Dialogue on Air Quality and Transportation Challenge: An Agenda For Action

The collaborative workshop on Air quality and transportation challenge: An agenda for action in Kolkata was a joint initiative of the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority, Kolkata and the New Delhi based Centre for Science and Environment. Dialogue held on March 16, 2011 in Kolkata was attended by nearly 300 participants.

Workshop on Air Quality and Environmentally Sustainable Transport

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) in collaboration with the Air Resource Management Center (AirMAC), Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Transport, Sri Lanka is organising a Workshop on Air Quality and Environmentally Sustainable Transport in Colombo on April 28, 2011. This workshop is part of a series of dialogues that are planned by CSE to strengthen and facilitate inter-regional exchange of ideas on key strategies to combat growing pollution and public health crisis in the region.

First Country Media Briefing on challenge of urban air quality and mobility management

CSE organised its First Country Media Briefing on “challenge of urban air quality and mobility management” in Dhaka on January 22,2011.

All South Asian Cities are suffering from vehicular pollution and mobility issues; Dhaka is no exception. This media briefing was organised to enter in a dialogue and join hands to find a way towards better air quality standards and improved mobility management.

The half a day workshop was attended by over seventy media personnels, both from electronic and print media, in both English and Bengali.
