4th City Sanitation Task Force (CSTF) meeting-Bodhgaya, Bihar

CSE team attended the 4thCity Sanitation Task Force (CSTF) meeting held in Bodghgaya, Bihar on 19th March 2019. Followings are brief purpose of the meeting:

• The detailed model city sanitation plan prepared by CSE was presented by the team and the comments / feedback were solicited from the CSTF members. Also, a copy of the detailed action plan (sector-wise) along with their timelines, was distributed to all members to provide their feedback within the next 15 days. The same shall be incorporated by the team in the final CSP document and submitted to the CSTF
• To apprise the CSTF members about the sanctioning of the pilot Decentralised Wastewater Treatment Systems (DWWTs) in Bodhgayaunder AMRUT scheme for parks development
• A draft guideline on Faecal Sludge and Septage management has been prepared by CSE also presented during the meeting.   and the way forward for implementing & achieving effective FSSM in the city
• To sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bodhgaya Nagar Panchayat. Due to established Code of Conduct by Election Commission, the MoU was not signed between the parties and this has been postponed until election period is over.
• During the meeting, the city officials were also apprised about the ODF+ and ODF++ guidelines issued by the Ministry and the immediate action points needed to be taken by the city administration for effective citywide FSSM.

The Executive Officer of Bodhgaya Nagar Panchayat lauded CSE's past efforts and commitment towards the programme and assured continued support, thus furthering the city's journey towards ODF++.
