Development of new antibiotics is quickly stalling, with major pharmaceutical companies choosing not to research on and produce any. We already know that the antibiotics of today are becoming increasingly ineffective. To add to that, new antibiotics will not be there. Antibiotics are our ‘go to’ medication for most ailments – can you imagine the scale of the crisis that this situation will result in?
