Agenda for Survival 2024

Climate change has become more than an environmental issue — it is a survival imperative. Our exclusive student engagement programme for colleges, Agenda for Survival, underscores the urgency to address climate change as a matter of human and planetary survival. The programme aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to understand, critically analyze and report on the challenges posed by the climate crisis.

What will the programme entail?

  • Engaging lectures led by experts from the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) and Down To Earth (DTE) on climate change and environmental reporting
  • Researching a local climate issue and finding solutions based on the insights gained through lectures and discussions
  • Collaborative work with students from all parts of the country to learn how to voice concerns actively

The programme is open to undergraduate students nominated by GEN members. The CSE team will inform the final shortlisted students. The educators of the selected participants are encouraged to engage and inspire their students throughout the programme.

(If an educator who is not a GEN member wishes to nominate a student, they will first need to register for the network by filling out this form: GEN registration form)
