Our world is no stranger to earth-shaking crises; but it has rarely been as sorely tested as over the last two years. A virus and its variants have brought it to its knees on one hand, while there are no signs of a slowdown in the speed at which climate change seems to be wreaking havoc. No one is spared; these twin troubles are touching everyone with equal vehemence -- the rich as much as the poor, the developed as much as the developing. Our world is teetering on the edge, and this is undoubtedly the biggest challenge to its survival today
HOW ARE WE TO COPE WITH THIS?
Centre for Science and Environment’s signature media conclave, the Anil Agarwal Dialogue, is back after a pandemic- and lockdown-induced hiatus of almost two years. We bring you three days of intensive sessions with some of India’s leading experts trying to unravel this twin challenge and its implications, and examine possible ways to move ahead. Like its previous versions, the Dialogue will be held onsite at CSE’s state-of-the-art residential facility in Nimli (Alwar, Rajasthan), Anil Agarwal Environment Training Institute (AAETI).
If you are an active and practising journalist working in India, this is the ideal event for you to bolster your understanding of critical issues and concerns of environment in India, network with your peers, and get access to one of the widest and best selections of environmental content and resources in the country. Add to it an opportunity to witness a truly ‘green’ and sustainably managed campus at the foothills of the rolling Aravallis.
Travel and accommodation of all selected participants for AAD 2022 will be supported by CSE. We have limited seats onsite, hence it is recommended that you apply immediately. Those applicants who fail to find a place among the shortlisted participants will be offered the option of joining the sessions online on zoom. CSE’s decision on selection of participants will be final.
