Bijnor Nagar Palika Parishad signs MoU with CSE for Technical Support in City Sanitation Planning and Faecal Sludge and Septage Management

Water Programme, CSE convened the 4th City Sanitation Task Force (CSTF) Meeting which was held inBijnor on 13^th February 2019, in the presence of Hon. Chairperson and Executive Officer of Bijnor. The detailed model city sanitation plan prepared by CSE was presented by the team and the comments / feedback were solicited from the CSTF members. Also, a copy of the detailed action plan (sector-wise) along with their timelines, was distributed to all members to provide their feedback within the next 15 days. The same shall be incorporated by the team in the final CSP document and submitted to the CSTF.

In continuation to the existing CSE - Bijnor Nagar Palika Parishad (BNPP) programme, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the two organisations, wherein BNPP seeked continued technical assistance from CSE, for implementing FSSM in Bijnor. The Chairperson and Executive Officer lauded CSE's past efforts and commitment towards the programme and assured continued support, thus taking the good deed forward.

During the meeting, the city officials were also apprised about the ODF+ and ODF++ guidelines issued by the Ministry and the immediate action points needed to be taken by the city administration for effective citywide FSSM.

The meeting ended with a pledge taken by all present, committing themselves for a Swachh, Samrudhh, SundarBijnor !!
