Cement Industry is resource and energy intensive. Indian cement sector has recognized this aspect very well and during past two decades, it has reduced its greenhouse gas emissions through improved energy efficiency; increased use of alternative fuels and optimization of resource use efficiency. The investments made in pollution control measures have drastically reduced air emissions; water pollution and waste generation. However, there are numerous challenges that still need to be addressed to make this sector environmentally sustainable and regulatory compliant.
Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), New Delhi and Cement Manufacturer’s Association (CMA) is jointly organizing a Three (3) days capacity building programme from 22ndto 24th Dec, 2017 at 41, Tughalakabad Institutional Area, New Delhi, exclusively for cement industry professionals to strengthen their capability to address such challenges.
