Centre for Science and Environment’s Green Schools Programme (GSP) is organising a two-day workshop for school teachers; the workshop will focus on the critical issue of air pollution and mobility crisis along with their health implications. It will also offer a platform to deepen understanding and knowledge about these issues, so that the participating teachers can educate and advocate for a healthier environment in and around their schools.
The workshop is open only to nominated representatives from the GSP network. CSE and its partner organisations will work together to shortlist participants for the workshop.
GSP has been working with schools and teachers nationwide to help them grasp the complexities of air pollution and its connection to the pressing issue of climate change. The workshop aims to delve into understanding air pollution’s health effects, exploring possible solutions and actions we can take, and discussing effective ways to teach this topic in classrooms. Through a mix of talks, videos, and activities, participants will learn best practices from schools and engage in insightful discussions.
The venue: CSE’s state-of-the-art residential training facility, Anil Agarwal Environment Training Institute (AAETI), located a three-hour road trip away from Delhi in Nimli, at the foothills of the Aravallis, near Alwar in Rajasthan. You will love the campus – check it out here
