CSE and University of Mysore join hands for knowledge exchange and capacity building on sustainable habitat

CSE and the University of Mysore (UoM) have extended their three-year old engagement to mainstream sustainability in the built environment. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. G. Hemantha Kumar and Prof. R. Shivappa, Registrar, Prof. Dr. B. Shankar, Director, School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) and Dr. H.S. Kumara, Associate Professor, SPA were present from UoM. Ms. Mitashi Singh, Deputy Programme Manager and Mr. Harikrishnan CU, Senior Research Associate represented CSE in the signing ceremony.

The purpose of this engagement is to sensitize the faculty and students on rising environmental challenges and the need to incorporate climate action in education and professions such as planning, architecture, engineering, and other sciences. Under this engagement, both the institutions will work on green campus initiatives to encourage sustainable behaviour and reduce the environmental footprint of the campus.
