CSE has commenced documentation of affordable housing projects and alternative walling materials in Karnataka. A meeting with the Managing Director and Chief Engineer of the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation Ltd (RGHCL) resulted in CSE providing knowledge support to Karnataka on enabling thermal comfort and liveability in mass housing. RGHCL is the nodal agency for implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Karnataka. The state has set a target of 100,000 houses of which 46,000 units have been taken up in the first phase. CSE visited one of the phase 1 sites located in north Bangalore and collected required data for simulation analysis.
