Date: November 20, 2015
We take great pleasure to extend a warm invitation to you to a “Regional dialogue on agenda for green architecture and energy efficiency” at Pune on November 20, 2015. The dialogue will be attended by regulators, professionals, civil society groups and the building industry. The objective is to help build a public dialogue and raise public awareness regarding the potential of architectural interventions to minimize environmental impact of built environment in our cities and reduce pressure on resources. India is shaping policies like Energy Conservation Building Code and Environment Impact Assessment and also offering incentives for green-rated buildings and affordable housing. If the regulatory interventions are not designed well and the idea of green building is not demystified, it can have unintended consequences and the new built area can lock up enormous resource guzzling and waste.
The Dialogue will be held at the Dr BV Rao Hall, Patrakar Bhavan, 193, Navi Peth, Ganjwe Chowk, Pune, 411 030 on November 20 2015 at 9.30 a.m.
