CSE had signed an MoU with National Mission for Clean Ganga (of three years duration) for mainstreaming faecal sludge and septage management (FSSM) in the Ganga basin. CSE had an annual review meeting chaired by Shri Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, Director General, NMCG to discuss work done and way forward on 14th August 2020. Following decisions were taken by the end of the meeting.
1) NMCG has Agreed to fund projects CAPEX on
a) Co- treatment of Faecal Sludge at STP at Bijnor
b) Co- composting of Faecal Sludge with Organic Solid Waste at Bijnor
c) Sanitation Park cum Decentralised Waste Water Treatment for local reuse - one each at Prayagraj and Bijnor
2) NMCG invited CSE to submit proposal by end of August on IEC campaign - on FSSM
3) NMCG agreed to fund CSE's School of Water and Waste - focus urban water (Urban ponds /lakes management, Rainwater Harvesting) in parks, groundwater management for Ganga basin state /cities.
