CSE Water Team Training of Trainers Workshop

Background

Aim: To strengthen CSE and a select invited group of trainers on core conceptual waste water management and technology treatment and systems issues. To incorporate new and relevant exercises and practical sessions in our trainings.

Consultant Trainers: 3 – two Sanitation experts and 1 training expert

Participants: Urban and Rural Water Team

Themes

• Day 1- November 2- Sanitation work in UP: Discussion on CWIS
• Day 2- November 3- Water: Water sensitive urban design and planning, Green Infrastructure, Urban Groundwater Management
• Day 3- November 4- Wastewater: Decentralized wastewater management and used water management

Training Highlights:

• Identification of FSSM core conceptual learning collaterals and delivery challenges in terms of presentation, graphics, discussion, exercises, evaluation etc.
• Support the team with the best of available graphics and tech descriptors of Waste Water and FSSM
• Help in designing appropriate exercises and practical work, quiz and assignments
• Current training experience under NMCG : positives and expectations
• What can be applied from urban experience? What needs to be modified and re-worked?
• District Approach for Rural FSSM : Conceptual, Systems, Technology, Administrative aspects
• Exercises and Evaluations : that we can use for a district level FSSM
• How to strategies FSSM as part of Urban Sanitation and CWIS,
• Strategy for developing a set of CSE Water and Waste Water Training
• Modules development for three year programming work incorporating donor
• Understanding and designing training based on donor commitments of NMCG, JJM, BMGF, SIDA and others
• Deciding the training duration and scope, strategy for a phased training input
