Workshop on EIA and Environmental Management of Transmission Line Power Projects, Bhutan

Centre for Science and Environment in cooperation with National Environment Commission, Bhutan conducted a five day workshop for the 55 officers of the Bhutan Power Corporation in Paro, Bhutan on the EIA and Environmental Management of Transmission Line Power Projects from September 2-6, 2013. The programme was attended by 50 officers of the Bhutan Power Corporation.  The inaugural session was lecture of the training was given by Mr. Chandra Bhushan who addressed the participants about CSE and the global energy scenario. The other key speakers of this training programme were Mr. Sujit Kumar Singh and Ms. Swati Singh Sambyal.

Also, CSE conducted a hands on training programme on the industrial inspection and monitoring for 50 NEC officers of which the 25 NEC officers in Phuentsholing, 9 officers of Bhutan Power Corporation and other related departments  of Bhutan from September 9-13, 2013.
