Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) is conducting a one week experience sharing workshop to explore the policy framework, challenges and technological options available for brick kiln sector globally. The objective of the workshop is to comprehend and discuss the initiatives taken by regulators in different countries to adopt clean technologies for safe environment. The workshop will discuss the good practices from the sector and give an exposure to the participants on the regulations, guidelines and the technologies adopted by frontrunners in the field.
Target Participants
The workshop will be attended by policy makers, regulators, Non – Governmental Organisations, consultants, international agencies, academicians and researchers from China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Nepal, Ethiopia, Egypt, South Africa, Mexico and Brazil.
Invited participant / resource person is expected to contribute a presentation and/or country paper on the thematic focus area and actively participate in the workshop.
Flights and boarding and lodging related expenses and field visit of all the participants and resource persons invited to the workshop will be borne by CSE.
Participation to the workshop is by invitation only. Interested candidates can send in their CV and a detailed cover letter indicating why they want to participate in this programme. CSE will shortlist the applications and inform the selected participant
