First RESCO Model power plant in Kerala

The first RESCO Model Power Plant in Kerala installed by ANERT at the RUBCO Huat Woods factory Thalassery, Kannur, was inaugurated by Minister for Public Works & Tourism, Muhammad Riyas on December 19th. This solar power plant of 350 kW Capacity was installed by ANERT under its RESCO scheme for an amount of Rs 1.8 crores and will generate an average of 42,000 units per month---for this, RUBCO will pay Rs 5.90/, an amount that is lower than the rate currently provided by them to Kerala State Electricity Board Limited. The amount invested by ANERT will be returned within a period of 7 years, after which the plant will be handed over to RUBCO. EPC work for the plant was carried out by M/s BSB Solar Power Pvt Ltd.
