Kashmir, August 26: Since ages, the river Ganga has been at the heart of faith for millions of Hindus. Some 70 million faithful Hindus take bath in the river even today to cleanse themselves from their sins. The belief that dropping the ashes of cremated bodies at the Manikarnika Ghat at Varanasi gives moksha (liberation) to the jiva (soul) remains as strong as ever.
