Just a few days after a study by Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), which exposed the double standards by fast food multinationals (read report), Jubilant FoodWorks Limited − which manages Domino’s Pizza and Dunkin’ Donuts in India − announced its commitments to stop antibiotic misuse in chicken by 2019. It made public its newly developed policy, ‘Usage of Antibiotics in Poultry Birds’ Health Management’, which focuses on eliminating antibiotic misuse in their chicken supply chain in a phased manner. This is a first such commitment that sets aggressive benchmark for others and possibly change organized meat supply chain in India
