Liquid Waste Management: A paradigm shift towards a decentralised approach

This event is completed

The new Liquid Waste Management (LWM) Rules, introduced in October 2024by the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), mark a turning point in how India approaches the issue of treatment and disposal of liquid waste. With their emphasis on decentralised solutions, these Rules aim to empower local authorities and communities to manage liquid waste at the source, reducing the burden on centralised infrastructure.

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) invites you to a webinar to explore the impacts of the new LWM rules, highlight strategies for implementation, and discuss technologies that align with the decentralised model.
