Meeting: Round-table: Approval of petitions for investment in pollution control

CSE organised a round table on March 11, 2019 with officials from state electricity regulatory commissions. The meeting was arranged to discuss the process to approve additional capital investments required by coal-based thermal power plants. To meet the December 2015 emission norms notified by the MoEF&CC, power stations need to invest to upgrade/install their pollution control equipment. The meeting was attended by about 15 participants - senior officials from electricity regulatory commissions – Chairman, Members and Joint Directors from the states of Jharkhand, Punjab, Gujarat, Telangana, M.P and policymakers from notable agencies - CEEW and Prayas.
