Meeting with Maharashtra State Pollution Control Board

CSE in partnership with Maharashtra State Pollution control board has initiated survey of coal-based thermal power stations. The survey is under progress. Till, March 2019 four of the eighteen utility thermal power stations in the state has been surveyed. CSE team along with a sector expert has visited these stations. Samples of coal, fly-ash, and bottom ash has been collected for testing. Flue gas sample was also collected by engaging third-party lab for analysis. Meetings were conducted by CSE with the station officials with the purpose of understanding the progress made in complying with the revised norms.
