NATIONAL BRICK MISSION: Roadmap for Brick Kiln sector in Maharashtra

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) invites you to participate in one-day workshop on “National Brick Mission: Roadmap for Brick Kiln Sector in Maharashtra” to be held on 7th January, 2019 at Hotel Centre Point, Nagpur.

The participants of this program will include multiple stakeholders in the brick manufacturing sector in Maharashtra such as brick kiln entrepreneurs, brick manufacturers’ association members, the state mining department, representatives from MAHAGENCO, academicians, officials from MPCB and other government officials.

The objective of the workshop is to discuss the Road map for improving environmental and energy performance of brick kiln sector in Maharashtra and seek suggestions from stakeholders on National Brick Mission.

The workshop will have three sessions. In the first session there will be deliberations on the National Brick Mission’s road map for the brick kiln sector in Maharashtra. The next session will exclusively address the status and performance of Clamps in Maharashtra and will deliberate upon the environmental, social and economical challenges associated with the operations of clamps in the state and the final session will have knowledge sharing and discussions regarding the status of fly ash bricks in Maharashtra.

Each session will have an exhaustive discussion session during which all the stakeholders will have the opportunity to put forward their viewpoints and perspectives.
