Dear Friend,
The fundamental principle underlying CSE’s water management programme is that the looming water crisis facing India and across the global south is not primarily due to a lack of water, but rather arises from mismanagement of water resources. The centralized management paradigm has kept the citizens out and taken away their sense of responsibility towards managing their water.
School of Water and Waste – a unit of CSE offers state of the art teaching learning tailored to create a water wise and waste prudent society. The school is one of the leading research and knowledge dissemination hubs in India and the global South working towards creating a cadre of water and sanitation professionals - from students, decision-makers, field-level practitioners, civil society groups, journalists, lawyers, and concerned citizens. Today we have 5000+ alumni - knowledgeable, skilled and committed water experts.
The COVID-19 times taught us to stand firm for our goals and come up with innovative and new ways to create a niche in these tough times as well. Our activities during this time range from introduction of online training courses by introducing technological innovations, blogs, webinars, remote meetings with the stakeholders, publications, repository of COVID-19 response and more.
In this endeavour, we are pleased to put forward our first bi-monthly newsletter exhibiting blogs, updates, publications, upcoming events and more.
We look forward to hearing impact stories of change from all our alumni, partners and readers.
Your suggestions and feedback are welcome. Please do share them with us at: sww-aaeti@cseindia.org
Best regards,
Suresh Kumar Rohilla
Senior Director & Academic Director
