Dear readers,

Intense flooding in Pakistan has increased calls for funding for loss and damage caused by climate disasters.Officials from the Pakistan Meteorological Department blamed climate change for the floods.

The world must mitigate and adapt to the climate crisis along three axes - reduce, remove and repair, say experts, or else what Europe saw this summer may just become the norm by 2035.

A new study ranks India’s climate pledges fourth in ambition and fifth in compliance.

Down to Earth analysed data to find that 125 countries suffered drought from August 10-22.

India’s wind energy sectoris struggling despite SECI’s oversubscribed bids.

Our online training: Demystifying Climate Data for Communication and Action, will be held from September 29 to October 13, 2022. The training includes special sessions on IPCC reports and the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference 2022 (COP 27)
