The World Bank finds that heatwaves in India could soon break the human survivability limit.
In more positive news, the IEA says that India will almost double its renewable power capacity in next 5 years - solar PV accounts for three-quarters of renewable energy growth, followed by onshore wind with 15% and hydropower providing almost all the rest.
Fears that the recent Mauna Loa and Mount Semeru volcanoes eruptions would impact global climate are alleviated since the greenhouse gas emissions from the two eruptions were very small compared to CO2 emissions from fossil fuel burning.
