The IPCC published its Synthesis Report on March, which collates five years of research in climate science and policy and presents a clear roadmap to a livable future. Here are 6 of its key messages collated by us. And here is a short video explaining the report.

The report says that the adaptation limit has been reached in some parts of the world.

It also provides evidence of maladaptation in some case.

Carbon dioxide removal would be necessary to achieve net-negative CO2 emissions, the report said, but it comes with risks.

It also points to the fact that the vulnerable are suffering the maximum losses and damages.

Elsewhere, a study finds that methane emissions from wetlands rose by 5-6% since 2000-2006.

In India, unseasonal rains and hailstorms have damaged over 18,000 hectares of agricultural land in Maharashtra.
