Dear Readers,
Greetings from the Centre for Science and Environment!
We are very grateful for your continued support to this Newsletter over the past 6 months. It gives us immense pleasure to share with you the revamped Energy Transitions newsletter from the Renewable Energy Unit of CSE. I hope you like the new, revised look.
CSE has been actively pursuing promotion of novel technologies in RE with an overall objective of enhancing access to clean and affordable energy. As an ongoing effort, we continuously produce web articles and publications with insights focusing on key aspects of the energy transition story for India and Africa. I hope you enjoy reading some of the web articles produced recently along with the publications we have included in this newsletter.
RE in India has been going through a consistent developmental phase with continuously evolving policy landscape striving for a level playing field for the concerned stakeholders. Although, concerted efforts have been paying off yet a lot needs to be done to narrow the gap between energy demand and supply of affordable power with the help of a bucket of technology options and supply mechanisms. Africa, however, is seeing a humble beginning of a journey that is thousands of miles long to address the basic challenges in providing access to clean power and fuel to its people.
The Newsletter includes information on the upcoming learning programs of CSE too. CSE provides learning opportunities to professionals through tailor-made training programs on various thematic areas. Links to some of the upcoming training programs are provided below. We recommend you to please glance through the links and register if it interests you.
Please do let us know about your experience of this revised Newsletter! We would be grateful to receive your invaluable feedback and inputs to improve the newsletter further.
