Date: November 30, 2020
Time: 5-7 PM India time / 2.30-4.30 PM East Africa time / 11.30 AM-1.30 PM and 12.30-2.30 PM West Africa time
Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), the New Delhi (India)-based think tank, is organising an online Pan-Africa network meeting on Air quality: Agenda for a new normal.
This is part of our initiative to carry forward our network conversation on solutions to air pollution that are of common interest to the nations of Africa. This aims to foster cross learning and South-South experience sharing. This interaction with African regulators will help to understand the implications of the pandemic disruption and economic slow down for multi-sector strategies for air quality improvement and related issues.
Already, East and West Africa are on their way to adopting new policies and strategies for air quality management, fuel quality improvement, restraining old vehicle import, improving public transport, walking and cycling among others. This interaction will further build on this to inform the green recovery process.
