Internship Opportunities at CSE’s Water Programme

Duration of Internship: June-July/August, 2024 (08-12 Weeks) 
Location: Lucknow, UP 

Background of Programme 
The Water Programme at Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) aims to establish policy principles, innovative technologies and implementation strategies for water/wastewater management and inclusive sanitation. These efforts have been directed towards meeting the twin goals of laying foundation for water prudent society and adapting to climate resilience both rural and urban areas.

Scope of Work
We are inviting interns to assist in the ongoing research, advocacy and capacity building initiative focusing on urban wastewater management. The interns will be involved in following thematic areas-

  1. Issues revolving around Faecal Sludge & Septage Management at the state and city level
  2. Engagement of Self Help Groups (SHGs) in Faecal Sludge Treatment plants
  3. Understanding desludging at the city level
  4. Reuse of Treated water and treated bio solids
  5. Policy / Guideline / advisories on city level monitoring protocols / desludging plans/Operations & Maintenance of treatment plants

Qualification

  • Pursuing final year or completed: Bachelor’s/Master’s/Doctorate in Engineering, Architecture, Environment, Planning, Water &Sanitation Management, Social Science
  • Good writing, communication and coordination skill.
  • Good knowledge (reading, speaking and writing) of English& Hindi.
  • Computer Proficiency - MS Office, Auto-Cad and others.
