Dear GEN Members, In September’s CSE-GEN lecture, we organised an interactive session on designing effective climate change modules for students and shared a Climate Resource Kit for educators; we hope it helped introduce climate change in your classrooms. Now, we’d love to hear how you explore climate change with your students! If you’ve conducted classroom activities that sparked curiosity and action among students, share your innovative teaching ideas in our GEN contest: Pedagogy for the Planet!
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Creative, experiential ways to teach climate change — whether through hands-on experiments, role-play, community projects or multimedia activities. Share how you have inspired students to think critically about the climate crisis.
For example, in our Climate Resource Kit, we introduced the ‘Be A Fact-ivist’ activity, which combines data skills with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals to help students explore local issues with a data-driven lens.
