Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) is a public interest research and advocacy organisation based in New Delhi. CSE researches into, lobbies for and communicates the urgency of development that is both sustainable and equitable.
The centre is looking for Programme Officer for its Rural Water-Waste Programme. The goal of the programme is to establish policy principles, innovative technologies and implementation strategies for water and wastewater management – to help lay the foundations of a water- and waste-prudent society. The programme has now expanded beyond the boundaries of India to some other nations of the Global South, with the objective of engendering south-south cooperation to exchange information and build capacity in the areas of safe and sustainable water sources and sanitation.
Job profile:
The job will entail high quality research, analysis, communication and capacity building efforts to promote sustainable water management in rural areas. The candidate is expected to independently design and build capacity building programmes and develop training materials customized for different stakeholders, travel for research and training programmes as and when required by the programme.
Qualification and Experience:
We are looking for post graduate in rural development, social sciences, environmental sciences or related field with at least 4-5 years of work experience. Candidates having experience in developing policy research documents, manuals, tool kits, and related learning-oriented tutorials will be preferred.
The candidate should have the willingness to travel and also should have fluency in both English and Hindi.
