Scaling up Faecal Sludge Treatment Plants (FSTPs) in Uttar Pradesh

PSU team had a meeting in Lucknowwith GM GPCU who is in-charge of the state-wide tendering for Faecal Sludge Treatment Plants (FSTPs) though AMRUT funding.Under AMRUT funding, UP Jal Nigam, in phase-1, had floated tenders for the “Construction of fully mechanized FSTP of 42 Kld Capacity each for 6 AMRUT Town / Cities of U.P.(Moradabad, Aligarh, Shahjahanpur, Ayodhya, Pilibhit & Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar) along with boundary wall, approach road and installation of solar panel system etc. including required survey & design work and handing over to respective Urban Local Bodies (Package No. A). The tender has been finalised with Aqatic Solutions (Pune based firmed with nationwide STP/Wastewater Treatment business) selected for 4 plants and SS engineering corporation (Noida based firm) selected for 2 plants. The work order would be issued in a week's time once all the administrative formalities are completed. The upcoming tender for 25 cities whose Bid Due Date is 8th Jan 2020.
