CSE holds workshop on green architecture and energy efficiency in Pune

The Patrakar Bhawan in Pune played host to a workshop on green architecture and energy efficiency organized by CSE on November 18. The BV Rao hall was packed to capacity and had around 50 participants. Speaking at the event, Anumita Roy Chowdhury, Executive Director, CSE, said, “Our review of green-rated buildings had earlier exposed how several buildings in India are grossly underperforming after being rated green. This is dangerous as our review has exposed several green-rated buildings across the country are underperforming and guzzling more energy.”

BUILDING BETTER: Certificate Course for Sustainable Building Practices and Policies

April 15-17, 2015. CSE organised a training programme on ‘Sustainable building policies and practices’ exclusively for the CPWD officers from different technical backgrounds. The three day programme aimed to deepen the understanding of existing policies, their potential and constraints in promoting efficient use of resources and minimizing waste in public buildings.  The programme explored the scope of harmonizing the policy-driven and market-driven approaches to accelerate the adoption of resource-efficient practices in buildings. 

"Regional Dialogue on Sustainable Buildings" in Bhubaneswar

Date: December 13, 2013 Venue: Crystal Hall, Hotel Mayfair Convention Centre, Jaydev Vihar, Bhubaneswar  Centre for Science and Environment  is organizing “Regional Dialogue on Sustainable Buildings” in collaboration with the Bhubaneswar Urban Development Authority (BDA) in Bhubaneswar on December 13 at 9.30 am in Hotel Mayfair. This is an experience dialogue on the strategies on green buildings to improve energy and resource efficiency in building construction and usage.
